Maryland is considered home to Alfred Lee-Young, MD. He is a graduate of Calvert Hall College High School and Loyola College in Maryland. He attended Medical School and received his Internal Medicine training at the University of Maryland Medical System(UMMS). He completed his G.I. fellowship at the University of Connecticut. During his fellowship he was a grant recipient from the American Liver Foundation (ALF) where he did liver research and published on gene therapy. He also had particular interest in ERCP and therapeutic biliary endoscopy. He currently lives in Carroll County and has been providing Gastroenterology and Hepatology care to the community for more than two decades. He has vast experience in all core G.I. and liver disorders. His interests include therapeutic and biliary endoscopy, Hepatology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and Colorectal Cancer Screening. He has served on The Carroll Hospital Center Foundation board and the Medical Executive Committee. He is a past president of the Maryland Chapter of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(ASGE). He has been named to Baltimore Magazine’s “top doctors”.
