Dr. Loc T. Le graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Mathematics and Biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. Dr. Le completed his internship and residency at the Sinai Hospital/Johns Hopkins Hospital Internal Medicine residency program. He did his Gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia where he received extensive training in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and hepatology. Dr. Le is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Le is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Loc T. Le, MD has been elected as Chairperson of the 2012-2014 National Task Force on Hepatitis B: Focus on Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. He is a former Chairman of the Division of Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy at Harbor Hospital of Baltimore (July 1998-July 2004). He held the ranks of Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine and was an instructor in Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a teaching faculty member at Sinai Hospital and Harbor Hospital, he received the Golden Apple “Best Teacher of Year” Awards twice, in 1996 and 1998.
