Edward J. Wolf, M.D., FACP, FACG, Gastroenterology December 27, 2022 Dr. Edward Wolf received a B.A. from Columbia University and an M.D. from S.U.N.Y. Downstate, Magna Cum Laude. He completed the Internal Medicine residency program at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center and went on to a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. His special interests in Gastroenterology include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Colon Cancer Screening, Esophageal Disorders, Hepatitis and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Wolf is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and is also a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology as well as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Wolf is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Todd D. Heller, M.D., FACP, FACG, FASGE, Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Todd Heller is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Yeshiva University and its Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He did his Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Hospital and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Luke’s Hospital. Dr. Heller came to Baltimore to join Dr. Edward Wolf, forming what now is Woodholme Gastroenterology Associates. While enjoying all fields of Gastroenterology, Dr. Heller has a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), interventional biliary endoscopy, and liver disease. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians,American College of Gastroenterology and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Dr. Heller is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Loc T. Le, M.D., FACG, Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Loc T. Le graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York, Magna Cum Laude, with a degree in Mathematics and Biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. Dr. Le completed his internship and residency at the Sinai Hospital/Johns Hopkins Hospital Internal Medicine residency program. He did his Gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia where he received extensive training in therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy and hepatology. Dr. Le is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Le is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Loc T. Le, MD has been elected as Chairperson of the 2012-2014 National Task Force on Hepatitis B: Focus on Asian and Pacific Islander Americans. He is a former Chairman of the Division of Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy at Harbor Hospital of Baltimore (July 1998-July 2004). He held the ranks of Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Maryland School of Medicine and was an instructor in Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a teaching faculty member at Sinai Hospital and Harbor Hospital, he received the Golden Apple “Best Teacher of Year” Awards twice, in 1996 and 1998.
Lila Tarmin, M.D., FACG, AGAF, Gastroenterology – (Retires 12/31/24) December 27, 2022Dr. Lila Tarmin graduated from Barnard College and Georgetown Medical School. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Maryland. Dr. Tarmin’s research in gastro-intestinal oncology and inflammatory bowel disease has appeared in a number of professional journals. She has a personal interest in colon cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome and treatment of obesity. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Tarmin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Michael S. Siuta, M.D., Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Michael Siuta was born and raised in Baltimore County. After graduating from the University of Virginia, he returned to Baltimore to attend the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine and remained at University of Maryland Hospital for a residency in Internal Medicine. An additional year was spent on faculty in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Siuta completed a three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Medical College of Virginia. In addition to training in gastroenterology and hepatology. During his first year, he completed a fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and was the Chief Fellow. Dr. Siuta is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Siuta is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His professional interests include interventional biliary endoscopy, colorectal cancer pathogenesis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
Ernest Tsao, M.D., FACG, Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Tsao earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency program at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He continued his training at Stony Brook with a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Tsao is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Tsao is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His research on gastrointestinal disorders has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he is the recipient of several academic awards and honors. Steven Epstein, M.D., Gastroenterology December 27, 2022 Dr. Steven Epstein was born and raised in Baltimore. Eric Blum, M.D., M.S., Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Eric Blum was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland. He graduated with highest honors from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and received his M.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, followed by his Gastroenterology fellowship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. While in Cleveland, Dr. Blum also received his M.S. in clinical research. Dr. Blum is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. Kenolisa Onwueme, M.D., PHD Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Kenolisa (Keno) Onwueme draws on a broad analytical skill set developed over 15 years of life-sciences research and from clinical experience in varied environments. He graduated with Distinction from Yale University with dual BSc/MSc degrees in chemistry and received MD and PhD degrees from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and then his Gastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His scientific research has been recognized with numerous honors and publications. Dr. Onwueme prizes commitment to quality and compassionate patient care and has been commended by peers and patients alike for this attribute. He followed with a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital. Arjun Vaid, M.D., MRCP, Gastroenterology December 27, 2022Dr. Arjun Vaid obtained his medical degree from the Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry-one of the premier medical schools in India. He trained in Internal Medicine at the South West St. George’s University Hospital Program in London, United Kingdom, and graduated as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians(MRCP). After moving to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine through Tuft’s University School of Medicine, at Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. On completion of his residency, he worked as a Chief Medical Resident for a year and was actively involved in medical education. He then completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His interests include all areas of gastroenterology and hepatology with special emphasis on complications of liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer prevention. Calvin Parker, III, M.D., Gastroenterology December 27, 2022 Dr. Calvin Parker was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He joins our team after serving honorably for 12 years as a physician for the US Army. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He earned his M.D. degree at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, after which he was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army. Dr. Parker’s Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship training were done at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. In addition to general gastroenterology, he also received training in advanced endoscopic procedures in the field of interventional biliary endoscopy and has published several case reports. Dr. Parker is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the National Medical Association. Dr. Parker is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His practice style revolves around a patient centered approach fostering the physician-patient partnership in the effort to preserve health and correct pathology.
